We extend our sympathies to Dorothy Venema on the passing of her sister Peggy. The funeral was held in Fort Wayne last week.
We extend our sympathies to Dennis and Mary Kuiper on the passing of their father, Ray. Arrangements are pending with Klaasen Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Ray was a long-time member of the Gideons and helped with several mission efforts in Classis Muskegon over the last decade.
With thanks, we are grateful the pre-morning service coffee has been well accepted. May the Spirit continue to further bind us together.
Prayers for a revision to our outreach efforts for pantry and guest followup including the use of the prayer and refugee brochures to further connections.
Prayers for Char Ansay is heading back to the doctor for reevaluation. The ears are beginning to clear now but she feels excessively fatigued.
Jerry Joldersma hopes to be able to return home this week after an infection setback. His overall pain levels continue to be decreased from the discomfort of the last years.
Continued prayers for Karma with a good outcome to her upcoming disability hearing as the doctor does not think returning to work is in her future.
Prayers for Sue Capp as she visits her sister in Florida and for Helen as she takes a trip with her friends.
Nine year old Abram’s next set of treatments were delayed due to his blood counts. Prayers an extra week off allows them to normalize so treatments can continue.
A few weeks ago, Tom’s friend Tammy was diagnosed incorrectly with lupus. Further testing confirmed the presence of cancer. Prayers as she prepares to undergo surgery in early April.
Mark H. requested prayers for a coworker and fellow brother in Christ, Marty, who is losing his job as a result of the reorganization and buyout.
Melissa’s brother is continuing to struggle with the impacts of leukemia and was recently rehospitalized for an infection.
March 21, 2025 Updates
Prayers for Char Ansay as she is dealing with several health issues. She has a sinus and ear infection, and pneumonia, and went to the ER for congestive heart failure on Wednesday. Fluid was removed and breathing treatments were given. She was sent home with a new antibiotic. Prayers she turns the corner and begins to heal. Today she expects to hear from an ENT doctor to discuss treatment options.
Jerry Joldersma was transferred to Mary Free Bed and was doing much better. He was supposed to be released today but developed an infection which has delayed his discharge. Prayers for effectiveness of his meds.
March 19, 2025 Updates
Please pray for Lynda’s cousin, Bob. He is back in the hospital with some seriously infected sores and can't swallow. They may have to put in a permanent feeding tube. We are concerned that he wants to give up the fight. He needs some serious prayers.
March 13, 2025 Updates
Dan W. was hospitalized for a few days at Trinity Health Muskegon with a kidney infection. He was able to come home where he will continue to take meds at home.
Jerry Joldersma transferred to Mary Free Bed in Grand Rapids where he is continuing to receive physical therapy. Indications are so far an answer to prayer as his pain is at least half decreased from what he has been experiencing these last years.
